Bored of all the sabjis and dals with Chapati, roti, and paratha. Then, make this yummy delicious restaurant-style Malai Kofta and enjoy your food.


       Ghee – 4 tbsp

       Onion – 1 (sliced)

       Garlic – 3-4 (chopped)

       Ginger – 1 inch (chopped)

       Tomato – 3 medium-sized (chopped)

       Salt to taste

       Cashew – 10 -12

       Paneer – 100 gms (grated)

       Potato – 2 medium-sized (grated)

       Corn flour – 2 tbsp

       Refined flour – 1 cup

       Bay leaf – 1

       Cinnamon – 1

       Cardamom – 2

       Turmeric powder – 1 tsp

       Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp

       Dried Fenugreek leaves (Kasoori Methi) – 1 tbsp

       Fresh Cream

       Garam Masala – 1 tsp



To make the Masala:

       Heat a pan, add 2 tbsp ghee, 1 sliced onion, 3-4 chopped garlic, 1-inch chopped ginger and fry them for 2-3 minutes.

       Add 3 sliced tomatoes and cook till it’s soft and mushy.

       Then add 1 tsp salt to it and mix it well. Cover the pan and cook it for 4 minutes on medium heat.

       After 4 minutes, add 10- 12 cashews and fry them for another 2 minutes.

       Now, the masala is done. Now, transfer it into a blender jar and blend it until it's smooth.

       Then strain the puree so it is completely smooth.


To make the Kofta:

       Take a bowl, add 100 gms grated panner, 2 grated potatoes, 2 tbsp cornflour, salt to taste, and mix it forming a dough.

       Prepare small balls of Kofta out of the dough, and coat all of them with refined flour.

       Heat oil in a Pan/ Kadhai and fry all the Koftas. Flip them after 2 minutes and fry them all until golden brown. Be light-handed with these fried Koftas and take them out on a plate and keep them aside.


To make the Malai Kofta:

       Heat a pan, add 2 tbsp ghee, 1 bay leaf, 1 cinnamon, 2 cardamoms, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 ½ tsp coriander powder, and sauté them well.

       Then, add the blended masala and cook it for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.

       Add ½ cup of water and cook it for another 2 minutes. Then, add ½ tsp salt, 1 tbsp crushed kasoori methi, and mix it well.

       Add fresh cream, 1 tsp garam masala, and mix it well. Let it cook for another 2 minutes. The gravy is ready.

       Take a serving dish, assemble the fried Koftas and pour the gravy over it.

Garnish it with some fresh cream and enjoy this delicious and flavourful Malai Kofta.
